IBM to lease iPad for 20$ a month

IBM seems to consider the iPad and other tablets as real corporate mobile computing devices. IBM will lease the Apple iPad and tablets from other manufacturers for about 20$ dollars a month. The typical lease period will last two to three years. If you don’t fancy an iPad they are also offering RIM’s Playbook and Android based tablets.

iPad preferred

Apparently many corporate iPad users don’t know why they have them. A  recent survey has revealed that businesses prefer iPad tablets as a corporate device. However, 50% of those organizations had no mobile strategy in place! The other half appears to have seen the benefits of mobilizing paper based processes and becoming more efficient through using mobile technology.

Of those asked, 83% said that the Apple iPad was the favourite device in their organization.
