HP in talks to license WebOS

With Microsoft taking $5 from HTC for every Android OS device they sell for using Microsoft patents and the recent news that Oracle claims Google owes them $2.6 billion for violating their Java patents in Android OS it might be a good idea for device manufacturers to start looking at alternative mobile OS. It turns out there might be a viable alternative: WebOS. HP is already in talks to license WebOS and has already had discussions with a number of companies.

HP Touchpad almost here

HP are soon to release their TouchPad. A 9.7 inch tablet device with a dual core 1.2Ghz Snapdragon processor, 16/32GB storage and a 768 x 1024 pixel screen.
